ABOUT

Following the successful completion of the 2022 Summer Training Course on Interdisciplinary Research Methods in Probing the Human Past organized by the OCSEAN (Oceanic and South Asian Navigators) consortium and funded by the European Commission with a H2020-MSCA-RISE-2019 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange grant, Project Number 873207, OCSEAN Philippines was founded  in early 2023 to further promote discourse, academic examination, and collective conservation of our shared heritage.

 

The organization aims to build a dedicated community with shared passion in heritage conservation and to promote academic exchange and vigorous discussion among indigenous partners and experts in the disciplines of linguistics, anthropology, archaeology, heritage science, history, and population genetics.
